I think breastfeeding is so gross. So many things about kids are gross. how they grow inside you, rip through your vagina coming out, scream and poop, throw tantrums, make messes and then become sullen teenagers. Plus they are expensive. I'm not having any.

I hate going anywhere with my SIL. We are both big gals in our 40's but she insists on dressing like a teenager wearing skimpy camis and short shorts. And then when we hit Starbucks or pretty much any store she thinks that all the younger men are checking her out because she is hot. No 17 year old hunk of man wants either of us. Trust me.

Sometimes, kids grow up and you don't like who they turn out to be. Stepkids, biokids, adopted kids, it happens. I'm a stepmother, I can empathize. But if you marry someone with, say, a teenager who is set in their ways, you really don't deserve much sympathy because you hate the kid. Children change and develop personalities, good or bad. Teens might act out, but for the most part they are who they will be forever, and they don't hide it.

Wow, I never considered the sitters we used for occasional evenings away from the kids to be strangers! They were competent responsible teenagers with younger siblings. They knew how to take care of my kids and the kids loved them to come over and have fun and give them snacks before the kids went to bed. My kids are grown now but I still keep in touch with these grownup sitters. They are fine young women and my kids & we were privileged to have them in our home.

I had NO SAY in anything as a kid. There answer to everything was "because I said so" As a teenager, my parents made me go to a male doctor who was probably in his 70's. Nothing inappropriate happened, but imagine being 15 and having a 70 year old man see you naked. 30 years later, I still avoid the doctor as much as possible.

Today while coming into my apartment these girls were walking in the middle of the street and weren't moving so I revved around them and they screamed at me to slow down. I stopped the car and alerted them to the fact that there was a sidewalk they could get on. They told me "thanks mom" I said "girl if I were your mother I would whoop you" then drove off. I thought...ugh teenagers! I never was that annoying I hope. Stupid kids. I would smack my kid. Well the big truth of it is that I purposefully sped around them and was going 5 over the limit. Oh well! Don't walk in the middle of street

BFF is a fab SM and her SK love her. The year she got married the 15yo moved in with them and she confessed to me that she was driving her nuts and she couldn't understand why. I mentioned to her it was because her child came as a teenager and not with a bonding infant. That realization helped and made her a better SM. She is fabulous!

I was talking with my friend while our DHs were working on a car. An older woman walked by and we stopped to chat with her a while. When we mentioned that our DHs were working on the car, her jaw dropped and she said "You two have HUSBANDS?? I thought you were teenagers!" Best compliment I've gotten in a while!

I don't know what's been going on in the last couple days, but DH has been as spontaneous and insatiable as a teenager! Or as..well..as I am. LOL He says he thinks it's because he's eating better and feeling better both with a less achy body and about himself. I tell you what, that diet is going to last!

I resent my mother because she dumped her responsibilities on me. She would beat me as a child, and as a teenager, which she never did to my siblings. She denies all of it, often cries and stops speaking to me if I bring it up. I try to mend things, but she's a bit impossible.
