I am a virgin at 27. But i have my reasons - when i was 11, my best friend was raped repeatedly by a family friend and got pregnant, and i helped her through it. It changed my view on sex - i never wanted to be in a situation that i couldn't control what was happening to me. I saw what rape did to my friend and it horrified me. As the years went by it was that combined with a fear of pregnancy and STD's. My mom was a young mom and i never wanted to be trapped like that. I had acne at a young age and this affected me hugely. I'm worried i will never have sex because of my issues

I'm single, no kids. I have bilateral ovarian cysts and swelling in both. The pain is unbearable. I'm scared that I might have a difficult pregnancy if I decide to have kids or I cant have them at all. As strong as I am I'm scared I'll be viewed less of a woman if I cant have kids...stupid i know. I damn near cry due to the pain in my abdomen and the narcotics given to me don't help.

I am 37. I want to be past the point in my life where I have pregnancy scares. Granted, in my 20's I wasn't super careful about birth control but now I am all over that shit. So why, why, why am I late? I have had sex lately but we used birth control!!!

When I was about 25? 26? I became pregnant unintentionally. I was waiting tables and didn't have any health insurance. I went to Planned Parenthood for an abortion. When the nurse practictioner examined me she did do an ultrasound and told me that my pregnancy wasn't far along enough to terminate and was very aggressive in her attempts to make me look at the ultrasound. At the time I just thought she was an insensitive jerk, but now I wonder whether some of the tactics that Anti-choice people use on purpose. Now I wonder if I was lied to.

My ex best-friend, a male, was there for me throughout my pregnancy. He helped me through the roughest time of my life. I fell in love with him but he was still living his life.. (Young, Wild and Free) He said he wasn't ready for anything serious, and I understood that. Anyway four years later, he's with a girl that has a son, around my daughters age, and today their baby was born. I feel weird about it, I love him still and it hurts in a way.

My BF dumped me on, YES, I said ON my birthday about a month ago. A week later I found out that he got his EX GF PREGNANT a month BEFORE my birthday (you do the math). Ever since, I have been so paranoid that I may be pregnant. I've taken 3 pregnancy tests since and all came back negative, today I got my period. Thank GOD! Go have fun dealing with your crazy pregnant ex(new) whatever GF and I will enjoy my summer with my new kick ass body being single!

My bf when 21 had a surprise baby and had the shot gun marriage. Flash forward to last night watching 16 and pregnant. I asked him when he found out about the surprise baby was he mad he said no then said it took 2 to tango. I replied in this day n age it's better women take care of all th bc to make sure accidents don't happen. He shrugged. I got animated that he said he wasn't mad. We went back n forth on the topic then he got mad at me for probing the topic. I wasn't born yesterday but if I had a surprise pregnancy not only would I be angry w myself, I would expect my bf to be angry too.

Why is it only women who are expected to "keep their legs closed"? The purity thing, the abortion debate, it all seems to come down to the fact that a lot of people still think women are wanton sluts that needs controlling. How come men are never to blame in cases of unwanted pregnancy etc?

Women who have had the FREEDOM to be able to choose - whether that choice is to be a mother, give up their baby for adoption, or abortion - shouldn't switch sides to be pro-life. YOU got the freedom to choose, and now you want to ensure that other women don't get the same freedom you had? Oy. I would never presume to know what is best for another woman dealing with an unplanned pregnancy; all women should have CHOICE.

The best way to feel like an effing idiot? Find out you're pregnant a week ago. Decide to marry your boyfriend, then after you've told your closest friends about your pregnancy and your marriage, you start to miscarry. There's no better way to feel like an idiot.
