I'm pregnant and I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed at the thought of bringing another person into this world. There are days where I feel like the world is a better place than ever before and is just so beautiful and wonderful, and then I turn on the news and want to cry. I'm afraid of what the future might hold and of bringing someone new into this.

I just killed a ginormous spider with a rolled up newspaper. It was right by my dog when I did it. WABAAM! Dog jumped up and gave me a look like, "What the hell, lady? What. the. hell?" (in fact, as I type this she is still staring at me with accusing eyes) Oops. Sorry, doggie.

I'm still trying to figure out why 'attachement parenting' is such big news this week. It was seriously debated ad nauseum about 8 years ago on internet parenting message boards. Yawn!

okay- I admit I do not get to watch the news much. So, what is the story with the kidnapping- mom and 14 yr old body found and two others missing??? That sounds horrible! Where did it happen? OMG- I hope those two kids are alive somewhere

So sick of hearing the Christian rhetoric about gay marriage. News flash: just because the President says that he supports it, doesn't mean it's legal. I'm a Christian, and this is an embarrassing time to be one. If you don't like gay marriage, don't get married to somebody of the same sex. It does NOT affect you AT ALL. If you're going to cite the Bible, did you miss the part that says we should kill any woman who's not a virgin on her wedding day? Oh, that's right. It doesn't further your argument, so you'll just pretend that it's not in there. YOUR religion shouldn't affect anybody but YOU.

I think that if "the media" you're reading is commenting on Sarah Jessica Parker's hands, it might be time for you to consider reading a more intelligent kind of media. Yes, my American sisters, there is a such thing as news. And no, that is not it.

I really love the news team in my area. They're funny and upbeat, and get along well. Very entertaining. However, it's been overcast here for a few days, and today the weather girl said, "Once again, it's 50 shades of gray today..." I wanted to throw up. Enough of this crap already!

I've been kind of a newsaholic ever since I went on disability. I'm employed now but still keep up with all the news channels. It's funny how the reaction to Ron Paul has changed over the past months. First he was a joke. Then he had no chance to win anything. Then he was in last place for electability. Then he was one of the last two standing, "wtf?" Then he has the potential to "cause a stir" at the national convention. Then he wins a huge majority of some states' delegates but he "stole" them and it means nothing. I wonder if they'll ever give him the recognition and credit he deserves.

My best friend is CF. We never talk about kids when we hang out and for me it's a welcome break from motherhood. I have mom friends I can talk kids with. With her it's work, clothes, movies, books, travel, news.

5 years ago a chose a new man over my ex. we had been broken up a few months but remained friends. when i met the new man, my ex told me i was making a mistake by going out with him, this guy was bad news, told me to choose him or the new guy. i thought he was being jealous, possessive and i chose new guy. i chose wrong. ex has not talked to me since, won't respond to emails or fb friend requests. the new guy ended up being the worst thing that's ever happened to me.
