I spent my childhood growing up in a couple of other states. I will sometimes look up my old houses on Google Earth and it's sad because those were the places we lived when my family was still together. Now my parents are divorced, remarried and my sibling is 400 miles away.

I've posted before about BIL's (22) nearly seven-year heroin addiction. It's worse than ever. Now there's a very real possibility that MIL (his mom) has cancer. She had a biopsy Friday and gets the results in a few weeks. BIL knows this and still had the audacity to call her today for money. He cussed her out and said he'll never talk to her again when she refused. Same old cycle. I hate to think of MIL possibly going through cancer treatment and/or a hysterectomy with his bullshit on top of it. I wish she would put herself and her health first and tell him to fuck off altogether.

I am a bit of a clean freak. I honestly don't care how other people keep their homes. I just want my house kept a certain way. I work really hard to try and keep my house clean. I swear that some of my friends give my kids messy toys on purpose. I still let them play with them-and am grateful for their gifts- but i am pretty sure they picked the finger paint for a 1 year old or the game with a million tiny pieces to be funny as well.

Dear SSis. I love you, but I cannot fathom flying 2000 miles to leave my 3 MO baby at a sitter for your entire wedding. It is your day and you can request no kids, but I won't be attending. It's really expensive to travel out there and the baby will be too small to stay with a stranger for 6+ hrs. You didn't come to our wedding and I am ok with it. Please grow up and be ok with me not going to yours.

Parents if your children are doing math and reading before school it is because you are exposing them to it. My IQ as a child and as an adult is off the charts and I never went to pre school, I played instead. I didn't have a different curriculum but I had a lot of free time to enjoy my life. I turned out just fine. Highly successful adult, made my first million this past year.

SIL how are you always so tired when its your MIL that cares for your child 50 hrs a week and your DH takes care of the child the rest of the time, cook, does laundry, and clean the house while you sit on your ass doing nothing but claim how exhausted you are. What do you do? Inquiring minds want to know. BTW its sad when your child refers to you by your name and your MIL as "mom" but knows your DH as dad.

My dad says he 'gave' each of us $1000 for Chanukah (he earns about half a million dollars a year, but is retiring this year, so it was supposed to be a 'last hurrah' type thing). Well, he gave my siblings that much. But I have no record that I got it (he transfers electronically). I really NEED that money, but since it was a gift I can't say 'Dad, I didn't think I got mine'. To him, it's easy to lose track of $1000. To me, not so much. Oh well. Thought that counts, right? Easy come, easy go. But I could really use that money.

I asked DS9 to watch his little siblings for a few seconds while I answered a call from the hospital my MIL is at.I was standing right next to them. All I wanted was to listen carefully to what the nurse was saying without juggling my baby while he tries to grab the phone or having to chase the others while still trying to listen. What's the assumption from a total stranger?I'm using my oldest child to care for the youngest, while I completely neglect my obligations as a mother.Really?Ugh!!!

Nobody was saying end planned parenthood. Nobody was saying that it doesn't help millions of women...All the foundation was saying is that almost one million dolaars for a.place that doesn't give mammograms was innapropriate. I totally agree, SK isn't government funding they have their focus on breast cancer. I hope everyone with a story can donate if they can afford it, instead of letting some other foundation do it. It wasn't about being aganist PP and SK is their own private foundation, trying to use their funds the best they can to prevent breast cancer.
