Ds 15's girlfriend is here as are several neighbor kids (civilian world, we're reserves family). I'm trying to hold it together. I'm on the edge of panic and don't know what to do right now. I know he has to be okay. He has to.

Children with special needs = No $ amount big enough. Everything breaking while he is gone = tyical& Lots of $$$$ . Still Smiling and driving on = preseverance & happiness. Picking husband up for R&R on Valentines Day = Best present ever!!! I am a lucky Lady!

Dh is on his third deployment. The kids are now older, two are teens. Late last night, around 9:30, two of ds14's friends stopped by the house unexpectedly. They rang the bell and of course I'm walking to the door with my heart pounding. I was relieved it was just ds' friends. But WTF? Their parents know my dh is deployed. They know my dh is deployed. CALL before you come over dammit!

dh deployed today. non-mil friend asked how the day was going. Ds 14 slept in til 1pm, dd-9 went out to birthday shop with mil, dd 12 is watching football with me as we knit/crochet, and dd 10 is down hanging with her bff (aka a normal winter non-school day). Friend was actually offended that the kids and I weren't bawling in a heap on the floor. Yes, we are sad. This is how we deal with it. Get over it.

We have three kids and DH says he doesn't want anymore. I want more but just not right now. My middle child is special needs and we're working on getting him behavioral therapy. Between that, homeschooling him and his brother, and a toddler, I don't think I want to add a newborn to the family just yet. But DH had r&r recently and now I'm two days late. I have such mixed feelings and I'm too nervous to take a test. I haven't told him yet...

Well my DH is deployed this year which is a total bummer. So me and the my 3 kids made plans with the inlaws that moved down to where we are a few months ago. Well got a call this morning that they decided to play bingo instead and had already left for the day. Good thing I brought all the Christmas dinner and the kids presents to their house the day before. Yeah to tuna sandwiches and no gifts for a DD8, DS5 and DS newborn. Thanks again inlaws we feel so loved right now.

I swear, Im not a violent person unless it comes to my dh and DS. So I'm watching the story of the brave marine who received the highest commendation medal by the pres. To find out, the story behind is so sad. His platoon was pinned out for hrs calling air support but no one came. The OIC in charged and a couple of others died just to find out it was of negligence of the CP to get the rescue birds out to them. Im sorry but I would have hunt that radio man down and lets just say I would be the one on trial.

I don't know what DS and I are doing for Thanksgiving. DH is deployed and our families are far away. Casual aquaintences ask me what our plans are and I give a vauge answer so they won't invite us to their place. I don't want to be someone's stray cat houseguest.

Dammit dammit dammit. First chance to skype in almost 2 months and my damn webcam didn't work. If I didn't have to keep it together for DS I'd go cry myself to sleep.

I shopping at the mall today with DS 4yro & DD 1yro. DS was well behaved & held my hand 95% of the time. When I stopped to get DS a drink from a kiosk, he let go of my hand and took off. I was running after him with a baby and shopping bags when 2 marines walking towards us, saw him and after chasing him for a min grabbed him for me. They were really nice & helped me with my bags to my car.
