Confessions for Showing 1 - 10 of 1232
Its not about how a man looks to me for me to want to be with him(past just oogling or checking out.) When it comes to the physical stuff it's about personal hygiene. Shower daily, brush at least 2x a day, don't constantly eat junk, and be somewhat active. I'm sick of the men that obviously live on bad food, it's like the stench is not only permanently in their breath, but comes out of their pores too! Yuck!!!! You can be hot, but if you smell bad or obviously don't care about hygeine, I'm gone!
Most of the time I'm happy with my body--I'm healthy by every measure, I like working out and I have a good relationship with food (never diet, always eat well, enjoy treats when I want them but don't crave much.) Then my mother comes to visit and I can't stop squinting at my reflection to see if my belly is less than perfectly flat and wonder if she'll comment on it this time.
I read something very interesting: The reason why snack foods tend to be so bad for our bodies is that they are usually high in both fat and sugar. In nature, real foods are high in fat or high in sugar but never both. Our bodies can't handle the combination of sugar and fat together.
I look forward to the Super Bowl every year, regardless of who is playing. Getting together with friends and family, grazing all day on great food and playing poker while watching all the pre-game hoopla and the game. I love it!
Actually considering walking the 5 mile round trip to Subway for lunch once or twice a week. Would be great exercise. I hate walking for no reason but Subway is one of my favourite foods.
I think I might try a raw diet. I have some skin issues, a ongoing rash and acne that never goes away. Maybe I'm allergic to certain foods so I'm going to cleanse and then slowly add stuff back to see what happens.
Why do people think being healthy is hard? Eating well is hard? Going for a walk is hard? Sorry but to me hauling a 250 pound body would be hard.Dealing with diabetes and heart disease or dying of cancer would be hard. Being embarrassed to be seen in shorts would be hard. Bypassing junk food and getting a few hours of exercise a week is a cake walk in comparison to that potential mess.
So glad my husband is on board with healthy living. I couldn't take it if I were married to some big couch potato galug with a giant beer belly and three chins who lived on crappy food and beer and never touched a fruit or veg.
Here's what you need to do to lose weight and maintain a healthy lifestyle: eat real food, organics as much as you can do them. Give up low fat, low carb bullshit. Watch your sugar intake. Get your workouts in and also build general movement into your day as best you can. Don't fall for gimmicks and quick fixes. Take it one day at a time, you'll get there.
Need to focus. Working out hurts. Medicate myself with food. FU scale.
