Confessions for Showing 1 - 10 of 59
Yesterday, I had been making my (super delicious) chicken and white bean chili. I had chopped and caramelized onion for it. I went to the store afterwards and while I was in line, a woman ahead of me sniffed the air and said she smelled onions. I confessed it was probably me from my earlier cooking. Poor thing was SO embarrassed, but I just thought it was funny. It's OK! I really did smell like onion!!
Shrimp & chive dumplings, spinach & mushroom stir-fry, and cucumber salad dinner was a big success with the housemates. I love cooking for others!
Scrubbing the bathroom, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning the kitchen, laundry and cooking all count as a workout, right? I'm exhausted!
Ate 900 cals today and did 500 cals worth of exercise and TBH I can't be bothered cooking dinner. That's what being home alone does for you. I know why I'm skinny when I'm single now!
My parents raised us on soda, junk food, and unhealthy at-home cooking, just because that's what my dad liked to eat. I was overweight 90% of my childhood and I am still overweight today. I realize that once I became an adult it was my own fault I stayed fat...but I can't help but blame my parents for raising me with such bad habits (which are VERY hard to break, btw). I am trying so hard to get healthier. Its like I am learning how to eat all over again.
I started a running program a month ago and I have been doing great with it. My husband and I also start cooking/eating healthy (controlling portions, calories, etc) and that has been going great, too! The problem? In the last month I haven't even lost 5 pounds. I weigh just shy of 250....WTF is going on here?
I'm currently in the process of turning fat into muscle (getting ripped, not losing weight). I'm obsessed with caloric and protein intake and pushing my body to new limits. I love talking about working out or cooking healthily. I feel like I should have more to post here but most of the time I don't.
I hate cooking. I'd rather live on cold baked beans for the rest of my life than cook!
I hate cooking for people that are used to eating salty, processed, fatty foods. Their first reaction, before even tasting, is to add ketchup, or tons of salt, or any other sauce. I cook with fresh herbs and good flavors, it tastes great without it!
