I honestly think "just be yourself" is one of the silliest pieces of advice you can give. Just be yourself. How on earth is that supposed to help someone through a situation?

shareI think I might have social anxiety. I'm afraid to be one-on-one with pretty much anyone aside from DH, including my best friend, because I'm afraid I won't know what to say or ask to get a conversation started and then we'll just sit there in silence. So I will almost never go out unless it's going to be a minimum of 3 people so that I don't have to talk or be responsible for starting a conversation.
My sister is such a douche. She's always trying to compete with everyone over stupid shit (like weight loss, she's borderline anorexic and smokes like a chimney, of course she's skinny). She'll be 30 this year but acts like she's 13. She has 3 kids, aged 3-10, so you'd think she'd have grown up a little. I thought I was the only one she did this with, but my SIL and mother have each told me that she does it to them too.
Wal-Mart had some cute silver glittery flats for only $10. I tried them on and they were comfy and cute. 2 questions though: At almost 40, am I too old to be wearing them?? and I wonder, how bad will your feet sweat in them in the summer? I guess for $10, who cares huh?
I have about 25 lbs. to lose..and i am very short, so it really shows. I have lost 10 so far, and every 5 I lose I am buying myself a pair of crazy, dangly, big earrings as a "reward". Now that I'm getting smaller, I feel my self-esteem slowly returning and I am steering away from the boring silver hoops I usually wear. Here's to looking and feeling fabulous and sassy again!
One of my SIL's friends has the most unfortunate body shape ever. She's 4'10" and weighs around 275 lbs. She's almost wider than she is tall and it sort of makes her look like a bowling ball. I told DH that if I ever get that fat, let me know.
I get so much reverse-slut hate. I get made fun of all the time in school for being a virgin, like actual bullying. It doesn't bother me, as I just find it silly. But my goodness, I'm 19 and at a Christian college, I wouldn't think it would be a problem. But it's actual a daily occurrence by multiple people.
Ok, I saw these cute silver sparkly ballet flats from Payless that I really want. BUT I have never worn flats and I'm worried they will make my feet hot and sweaty. They are soo cute thought! Undecided.
I'm so flat chested. Even breastfeeding I have very small breasts. I get paranoid that people don't believe that I bf my baby, and think I'm lying. Especially as bub is so big and chunky. Maybe its silly but I too would be suspicious. I joke that I keep milk sacs behind my lungs!
I think I'm depressed. I made an appointment to be evaluated. Honestly...I think I've been depressed for years but I was ashamed to admit it because I figure people in this world have real problems. I feel a bit silly and ashamed of it.
