shareSo we're not registering anywhere for our wedding. We don't really expect anything from our guests but if it came down to it we would want cash. How do you say that if they ask about a registry? It just sounds so stingy
My story: We were having a few drinks and laying in bed in our underwear. He said he wanted to draw the tattoo I was going to get on my back so I could see what it would look like. After he was done he told me to look in the mirror.I took a quick glance&saw he had written "Will you marry me" (backwards so I could read it in the mirror). I turned around and he was on his knees with the ring. I said yes and jumped on him promptly
So this whole time my SO has been saying the wedding is for the bride etc etc and will occasionaly throw it in my face. I say "No, it's about BOTH of us". We were meeting with the pastor the other day and the pastor said "Well, lets be honest, the wedding is mostly about the bride." ///facepalm
My MOH was insistent that I had a bridal shower/joint bachelor party even though we're already legally married.I didnt want them.Im super busy all the time and have 2 kids.She's been stressing out because 5 people cant come.WHO CARES? I DONT.People have fucking lives & I sure as hell couldnt devote 3 Saturdays and lots of $ in one month just for a wedding.I dont even want to do it for my own IM BUSY. She doesn't get that people dont owe the bride or groom to come to these things.It's frustrating that I'm stressed out about something I never wanted . Im grateful for her efforts but its too much
My husband was deployed to Iraq in 2002 and 2003 before we dated. I dont know what happened or what he went through because he refuses to talk about it. All I know is that he got something for combat action but that's as far as he will go. I know better not to ask anymore but it makes me sad that he feels like he can't talk to me about it. I know this is selfish but I had to get it off my chest.
I wasn't with my husband when he was marine so I was unsure what to do for Veterans day. I ended up buying him two dvds, a cd, candy and taking the kids away from 2 hours so he could play his new Call of duty uninterrupted. I am so proud of him and respect him so much for all he went through.
My 6yo daughter came home w/ her "heart broken". She said her crush since kindergarten wanted to take the new girl in her class to Olive Garden on a "date". My mom said that the girl was probably lying and my sister said her crush was stupid and that my daughter was too good for him. I told her, "Baby, you're a good girl but sometimes the person you like doesn't like you and that's alright. people can't help who they like." I hope I wasn't too honest for a 6yo?

I told my husband I wanted a divorce yesterday.
I asked my husband if we could talk about custody. His response? "take him, he's my gift to you".
I really think that my soon to be ex husband and my job has completely screwed up my whole outlook on marriage and relationships. I don't know how to fix this.

"Is small the smallest size?" I almost laughed in her face. Yes, I'm aware of the size "xsmall" but it was still funny for some reason
So I had a customer come in the other day with his girlfriend who dressed like she was 16 but looked 35. He was looking at a pair of flip flops that were $100 and with a bitchy tone she said "you're not spending 100 on flip flops!".He then told her to shut her mouth and bought them. HAH!I tried my hardest not to laugh when she stormed out.
When did it become ok for children to step all over a couch that's in a retail store? Our couch is fairly light and this woman just let her child step all over our couch without batting an eye. I couldnt imagaine what her house looks like if she lets her kids act this way in public. She leaves and comes back right away, half assedly mumbles to borrow my scissors, reaches over the counter and just uses them. Who the fuck are you? Get out of my store! I do not offer help to rude people or parents that let their kids run wild.
My boss likes and trusts me :) It's a great feeling.
So after working 9 hours I was tired. I had no makeup on and was well aware that I looked bad. I stopped at target for diapers and formula. I was standing in a long line when I hear the man behind me say "you look really tired" I said "yeah, I know I just worked 9 hours And I've been sick the last few days" then he said "I can tell". He then introduced himself and made small talk and offered to hold my stuff in his cart so I wouldn't have to hold it. It was the most random thing. He couldn't have been hitting on me. Maybe he was just nice?
Since my husband and I have been dating he has always hidden places, jumped out and scared me. I always scream and he always laughs like crazy and smiles. What he doesnt know is that 99.9% of the time I know that he's there and I just pretend to get scared because it makes him laugh.
