my DD 4 really tries to make me look bad in public. We were on a rocky cliff at the ocean and she leaned forward and I grabbed onto her and pulled her out of instinct and she started swinging at me and yelling at me so I said that since she hit me, we were leaving. I didn't yell. I just walked to the car and all the while she is yelling out "You are so MEAN. I knew you would HURT me. Why are you the most awful mom ever?" and on and on and then tried to hit me again. I put her in the car and we left.I punish her by removing her, giving time outs, etc. and have been strict for two years
